Czech Cinema Under the Stars
The Embassy of Czech Republic brings well-loved and award-winning Czech films in Manila for the Czech Cinema under the stars- a two-weekend festival at the Rizal Open Auditorium.
The film festival will showcase a popular children’s animation, a family comedy, a retro-musical, a historical drama-romance, and an Oscar winner. Screenings on November 5, 6, 12, 13, Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 7pm. Admission is free.
Manila Day
It was me who suggested that we go to Luneta or Manila Zoo since 2 pm is way to early to go drinking (although Yvonne contested and said, “Pwede lang [mag-inom nang alas dos ng hapon].”) She really is persistent for the get-together to push-through. She must be really really bored.
Indeed, Sunday afternoon, I find myself making my way out of a huge crowd of blues that is the members of Couples for Christ. Every person who arrives at the meeting place tells to me, “Ang galing mo pumili ng date ah, yung maraming tao” or “Kaya mo pinili t’tong date na ‘to ‘no kasi alam mong may event ang YFC!” As usual, everybody was late except Rogelio who can’t get mad, because that’s the way he is, he’s too kind. He just commented, “Alas dos ba ang meeting time or alas dos aalis ng bahay?” to which I answered “Sorry, nakalimutan kong i-remind sila na wag mali-late kasi maaga din ako darating. Dapat pala ala una na lang sinabi ko.”
Actually, nobody really knows what we’re doing in Luneta, including me and that is why I told them I brought my tripod because what else to do in Luneta but to take photos! Haha! So we walked around, talked and took few photos while waiting for the others to arrive.
